A few days ago, 18-year-old Layla Crowell from Millport, AL woke up from a medically-induced coma.
Layla was in a car accident 9 days ago on Highway 27 in Reform, AL. She is a junior at South Lamar High School. While unconscious, she had a vision.
“Layla tells us she saw God while she was under,” her mom Kristy Stanford said. “She said He appeared in a bright yellow and white light. She asked God if He would let her come back to her family.”
God answered her prayer, and Layla returned.
Yesterday, Layla had her 6th surgery since being airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She suffered injuries to her knees, femur, hips, pelvis, and other areas. She also has a broken nose and jaw, plus bruises on her pancreas and kidneys.
She has a long road ahead, but the good news is she will make it. Layla will eventually go back to pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.
She has a bright future because God gave her a second chance, and Layla plans to make the most of it.
Send your best wishes to Layla and her parents, Daniel and Kristy.
