Not a truck driver, but drive a large RV with a car in tow, about 65’ in length.

I try to drive as the truckers do...stay in the right lane and leave lots of space between me and the guy ahead.

My top two tips:


1. Don’t loiter alongside a truck. If you want to pass be decisive...wind up the rubber band and get around them quickly.


You know those gators (truck treads) in the road? Those came off a truck, (likely very violently). They’re made of hundreds of pounds of hard rubber and a tangle of very sharp, very nasty steel cords.
